These terms cover your use of the Tintale app. By using it, you agree to them.
Tintale turns a photo you provide into an illustrated keepsake using an AI image provider, and lets
you arrange that artwork on a card with your own words, export it, and keep it in an album.
You keep every right you already had in the photos you upload. You give us permission to use a
photo only for the purpose you asked for: making the keepsake you requested, and storing the
result for you.
You must only upload photos you have the right to use. Do not upload photos of other people
without their agreement, and do not upload anything unlawful, or anything sexual, hateful or
violent. We may refuse a photo, and we may remove content and close accounts that break this rule.
The artwork made from your photo is yours to keep, print, post and share, including commercially,
as far as we are able to grant that. Two honest limits: AI providers apply their own usage terms to
what their models generate, and in many places AI-generated images may not attract copyright
protection of their own.
Keepsakes are paid for with credits.
many times as you like.
your currency. Purchased credits do not expire.
If a generation fails, you are not charged. A credit is held when you start and only spent when
a result is delivered; if anything goes wrong the hold is released.
Refunds for purchases are handled by Apple or Google under their own policies, because they are the
seller. If something went wrong on our side, contact us and we will put credits back.
Do not try to break, overload or work around the app's limits; do not attempt to reach other
people's photos or accounts; do not use the app to impersonate someone or to create misleading
images of real people presented as real.
AI image generation is unpredictable. A result may not match what you imagined, may simplify
details like glasses or jewellery, and may not be repeatable. Each style names its known
limitations before you spend a credit. That variability is not a fault, and a result you dislike is
not by itself a refund — though if a style is plainly broken, tell us and we will make it right.
The app is provided as it is. We do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the
extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total
liability is limited to what you have paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here
removes rights you have under consumer law that cannot be waived.
You can delete your account at any time from within the app; unused credits are forfeited when you
do. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms.
We may update these terms. If a change matters, we will tell you in the app. Continuing to use
Tintale after a change means you accept it.
